Middle School (Grades 6-8)
The Orme Middle School strives to develop academically competent, emotionally well-adjusted students who can move into a college-preparatory program. We emphasize study skills and time-management techniques. Middle School students with the appropriate maturity can enroll in high school classes for credit.
Curriculum
- MS English (all three years)
- Social Studies, Physical & Cultural Geography, and US History
- Exploratory Science (6th grade)
- Life Science (7th grade)
- Physical Science (8th grade; may receive high school credit)
- Transition Mathematics (standard for 6th grade)
- Pre-Algebra (standard for 7th grade)
- Algebra 1 (high school credit; open to qualified 8th graders)
- Beginning Band
- MS Wheel (a rotating schedule sampling Art, Drama, Music, Horsemanship, and Computers)
- Physical Education (PE)
