Health care for students is provided through the Burns' Health Center, located on campus. The Director of Health Services oversees the clinic, including but not limited to: routine medical care, emergency care, and referral, medication management, and chemical awareness programs. Orme's physician (located off campus) is available for consultation by the Director of Health Services and for students' primary health needs. The Health Center Hours are Monday through Friday from 6:30 am - 4:00 pm. All faculty are trained in CPR and First Aid, and attend to basic medical needs when the Health Center is closed.

Counseling Services:
In an attempt to accommodate student needs, Orme provides confidential counseling sessions on campus. Scheduled appointments are made through Student Services and provided by two off-campus counselors who visit Orme weekly. Other off-campus visits may be accommodated.  All emergency situations will be evaluated immediately and appropriate action taken. 

Emergency Treatment:
The Health Center provides assessment and care for minor injuries and illnesses. In the event of an emergency, a student will be taken to one of two neighboring hospitals, the Yavapai Regional Medical Center or the Verde Valley Medical Center.

Health Forms:
Before arriving in the fall, students are required to fill out an Orme School Medical Form and the corresponding Physical Form (to be completed by Examining Physician). This includes providing immunization records, record of a Physical Exam (necessary for participation in our athletic program), and insurance information.

Routine Appointments:
Whether treating a recent or ongoing injury or illness, the Orme School Health Center will assist in scheduling student appointments with medical professionals in the area. Transportation to and from these appointments is available as well. Prescriptions held by the health center are automatically refilled and delivered to campus for no additional charge.
